Process for onboarding a client

Discovery / success metrics call - how do they reach this, how is it booked in? Framed as a product that we give away for free? How do we qualify leads before allowing them the book in a discovery call?

How to get clients from different channels into a single onboarding flow

Get them set up with a client portal

Added to a drip feed which emails them about us, our processes, case studies etc - kinda like a holding pattern to keep them engaged during the process

When to create project pages in Notion?

When to schedule modules into the calendar?

  1. Collect client's contact details
  2. Discovery call. Introduce ourselves. Find out about the project, get basic details about the company, past, present and future. Tell the client the next step is to organise a success metrics call. Leave the client with homework to fill in their company details in a form for us. Client portal at this point? Collect things like number of staff, funding stage (pre-seed, series A etc), revenue, project budget (if defined)
  3. Organise a discovery/success metrics call
  4. Make a call on whether we want to accept the project.
  5. Create project spec
  6. Send over a suggested project spec with our different modules, what they're for and how much everything will cost. Break down cost per module? It would be nice to give 2 or 3 options for complexity of the solution. How do we structure this alongside the modules? Maybe present them with all of the modules that we want to apply to the project then separate a summary of the project deliverables + overall cost with multiple complexity options.
  7. Client gives the OK or asks for changes. It's important that we only sell our work in the form of modules so that we can maintain our process and make sure we're structured with our requirements and deliverables at every stage.
